Perform rigging, lifting, and securing operations for heavy loads on offshore platforms, rigs, and vessels.
Select, inspect, and maintain rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, chains, hooks, and winches .
Work with crane operators to guide and signal safe load movements.
Follow lifting plans, load charts, and risk assessments to ensure safe operations.
Conduct pre-use inspections of lifting gear and report defects.
Assist with deck operations, cargo handling, and mooring activities .
Ensure compliance with maritime safety standards (IMO, SOLAS, ISM Code) and offshore safety protocols.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety drills, and emergency preparedness exercises .
Work in hazardous offshore conditions, including rough seas, confined spaces, and high elevations.
Maintain accurate records of rigging operations, inspections, and maintenance.
