Job ID 22015 – Fraud Prevention Analyst

Location:  Lakeland, FL 33815 – Hybrid after training

Pay: $25-$28.00 per hour

Type: Contract until about Jan 2026, with possible extension

Job description:

1. Investigate and validate fraud claims by reviewing account activity, contacting involved parties, and collecting necessary documentation within regulatory timeframes.
2. Maintain accurate and detailed records of fraud cases, including outcomes, actions taken, and audit documentation in case management systems.
3. Communicate with members, merchants, and financial institutions via inbound/outbound calls to resolve disputes and gather supporting information.
4. Monitor and triage transaction alerts using fraud detection software (e.g., Verafin), escalating complex cases to senior staff when necessary.
5. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., Reg E, Reg Z) and assist in fund recovery efforts for fraudulent or loss-related transactions.

Requirements:

• Must have previous recent experience in fraud
• Must be MS Office proficient
• Must know regulations and the Bank Secrecy Act: US Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets and Controls, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy, Bank Bribery Act, E, CC, GG, V.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check required
• Employment verification is required

• Drug screening is required
